24/7 Diva Heaven
Right off the bat, 24/7 Diva Heaven assure you on their social media channels, »It’s okay to like us,« but under one condition: »Ask your mom first.« A quick call has determined that mother does approve. As a fan of the Stooges, Melvins and Bikini Kill, she’s always had at least one ear tuned to the zeitgeist, and the Berlin trio picks up where the others left off. Scratching and rumbling, riffing and shoving, hooking and screeching go the five songs from their debut EP »Superslide,« recorded live on tape, as if 24/7 Diva Heaven barely arrived on the domestic scene before pushing their way right into the front row. So, exactly as planned. The nineties may be over, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Especially since the best of the decade has made its way to the present day, thanks to these three Berliners.
