MADANII & LLUCID

MADANII and LLUCID should really be written like that: in all caps, and preferably in bold type. Big songs with a bold sound and bold topics. With classic nineties R&B as their starting point, Dena Zarrin and Lucas Herweg bring an almost avant-garde approach to clubby rhythms, enriching the mix with traditional Persian tropes. Just a few years ago, a daring collection like their debut EP »IILLEGAL ALLIIEN« would have probably been tagged »Future R&B,« but nowadays, half of that description could be deleted. MADANII & LLUCID are the future. Pardon, we mean: FUTURE. We already knew this last year when they performed for »Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs,« and everyone who sees them at Pop-Kultur this year will catch on quickly.
